SavePrompts is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to save, organize, and inject AI prompts into AI chat interfaces. This privacy policy explains how SavePrompts handles your data.

The short version: SavePrompts collects nothing. All your data stays on your device.

Data Collection

SavePrompts does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or share any personal data whatsoever.

Specifically, SavePrompts does not collect:

Personal identifiable information (name, email, address, age)
Health information
Financial or payment information
Authentication credentials or passwords
Personal communications
Location data or IP addresses
Web browsing history
User activity (clicks, keystrokes, mouse position)
Website content you view or type

Local Storage Only

The only data SavePrompts stores are the prompts, categories, and settings that you create inside the extension. This data is stored exclusively using the browser’s built-in chrome.storage.local API, which means:

It stays on your device only
It is never transmitted to any server
It is never shared with any third party, including the developer
It is never sold or used for advertising or analytics

Permissions Explained

SavePrompts requests the following Chrome permissions solely to deliver its core functionality:

Permission	Why it is needed
`storage`	To save your prompts and settings locally on your device
`activeTab`	To inject your selected prompt into the currently active AI chat tab
`scripting`	To detect AI chat input fields and insert prompts into them
`contextMenus`	To add a right-click option for quick prompt access on AI sites
`host_permissions` (`<all_urls>`)	To support multiple AI sites (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, etc.)

No permission is used for tracking, analytics, or data collection of any kind.

Third-Party Services

SavePrompts does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs. No data is sent anywhere outside your browser.

Remote Code

SavePrompts does not execute any remote code. All JavaScript is bundled and included locally within the extension package. No external scripts are loaded at runtime.

Children’s Privacy

SavePrompts does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the extension is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated policy will be published at this same URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
